ARCHIVES OF TRAUMA OPEN CALL - SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Eligibility:

Open to all women and non binary photographers aged 18+ worldwide.

Entries must be the original work of the participant.

Submission Format:

Photographs (6 to 12 per project) should be submitted in JPEG format.

Maximum file size: 1 MB per file.

Images should be sent initially in a low resolution form. If your project is selected it will be required to provide us with the high resolution files.

Deadline:

All entries must be received by February 22th (new deadline) , 24:00 CET.

Notification of Results:

March 3, 2026

The selected photographers - artists will receive an official Certificate of Participation and Achievement in pdf form.

How to Submit:

You should submit a folder named: YOUR SURNAME_NAME.

Please send your folder via https://www.wetransfer.com/ or other file sharing service to the following email address: submit@womensphotofestival.org

You should receive a confirmation email after your submission. If you do not receive one, please reach out to us for assistance through our contact form in our website.

Please include the following in this folder:

  1. Your work (6 up to 12 photographs in jpg low resolution form, up to 1 MB each photograph).

  2. A pdf containing: Title of the Project, Artist’s Statement about the project (50 up to 200 words)and a Short Bio (optional).

  3. Your INFO: You can download and fill the following INFO FILE OR send your information as a Word file (.doc or .docx) / pdf, OR you can include the information directly in your email. Please provide your name, surname, Instagram and Facebook (if available), website (if available), and your contact details, including your phone number and email address. At the end of the document or at the end of your email, please copy and paste the following statement. At the end of the word. doc or at the end of your email please copy and paste the following statement:“By submitting my work, I confirm that I have read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined on the website”.

  4. Το confirm your submission please include in the folder the payment receipt: 20 euros is required for the process of one submitted photography project.

    If selected the project (images selected by the curators) will be printed in Athens by the festival.

    The festival operates on a self-sustaining basis.

    You can pay it either by bank deposit or via Paypal.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Original Work: All submitted photographs must be the original work of the participant.

  2. Consent from Subjects:

    • For photographs featuring identifiable individuals, the participant must obtain written consent from all subjects.

    • By submitting, the participant confirms that they have obtained all necessary permissions.

    • Organisers are not responsible for any claims arising from lack of consent.

  3. Copyright & Usage Rights:

    • Participants retain copyright ownership of their photographs.

    • By submitting, participants grant the organisers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and promote the photographs for festival’s-related purposes, including social media, exhibitions, publications, and marketing for the period of one year.

  4. Disqualification:

    • Any entry that violates the rules, contains offensive content, or infringes on copyright or privacy rights will be disqualified.

  5. Judging & Prizes:

    • Entries will be judged by the judging panel.

    • Decisions of the judges are final and non-contestable.

  6. Liability:

    • Organisers are not responsible for technical issues during submission (file corruption, loss, etc.).

  7. Data Privacy:

    • Personal data collected will be used solely for festivals administration.

    • Data will not be shared with third parties without consent.

  8. Acceptance of Terms:

    • By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
